Refund Policy
Cancellation and delivery concerns for a writing project. Updated October 6, 2026.
Requesting a cancellation
Email [email protected] with your name and project reference. We will identify work already completed and explain the resulting amount. No special cancellation form is required.
Before and after work begins
If you cancel before work starts, we refund the amount paid. Once work has started, we charge only for work actually completed under the agreed scope and refund any unused balance, subject to applicable legal rights. An initial payment is not automatically forfeited in full.
Problems with a delivery
If an agreed text is missing or the delivery does not match the scope, tell us so we can address it. Included rounds cover the agreed wording and structure changes. If a scope-related problem cannot be resolved, we will determine a refund for the affected work without limiting any legal remedies.
Applicable rights
These are the project cancellation terms, not a statement that every Canadian contract has the same cooling-off period. Statutory cancellation rights depend on the circumstances and applicable provincial law. Where a legal right or refund requirement applies, it takes priority over this policy.
Returning funds
We return an agreed refund through the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund processing fee. We process the agreed balance within 14 calendar days of confirming the cancellation calculation, or sooner if an applicable legal deadline requires it. Your financial institution may need additional time to post the payment.
